MPS students grab their passports and spend the day traveling from country to country learning about different cultures.


3rd Grade Dance Residency

Our 3rd graders spend the weeks prior to International Day preparing a dance. Their hard work is performed at Taste of the Nations.

10/13 - International Day Volunteer Form Deadline
  • Please submit the International Day Volunteer form to the office through your child’s backpack

10/13 - International Day Volunteer Meeting - 9 AM -10 AM MPS
  • Meeting for all volunteers and anyone interested in finding out more about presenting at International Day

12/16 - Team Members and Presentation Proposals due
  • Email to chairs with team leader contact info, team members, and proposed activity and materials/ space requirements.  

1/2 - Deadline to submit USP flash drive with PowerPoint presentation
  • Submit your PowerPoint presentation on a flash drive clearly marked with your country and name.

1/13 - International Day Tech. Tutorial @ 8:50 AM in Computer Lab
  • Tech tutorial with Mrs. Delmonico to review SmartBoards, projectors, laptops, etc. 

1/22 - 3rd Grade Dance Residency Starts
1/20 - Deadline to submit artifact/ momento for display case
  • Submit an artifact/memento from your country marked with your country and name.  It can be brought into the office. Secretaries will have a table available.  

2/1 - Classroom Setup @ 3:30 PM-8 PM
  • You are permitted into your assigned classroom to set up. Please take “before” pictures of the classroom so that you can return it to the original setup at the close of the day.  Please be respectful of the space and the teacher’s desk.  

  • Please check in by 8:30 AM at the welcome desk.  After setting up for the morning, please join us in the cafeteria for coffee and light refreshments.

2/2 Taste of the Nations @5:30 in the cafeteria
  • Evening set up begins at 4:30 PM

1/5 - Reimbursement forms due
  • Teams must submit all receipts with an event reimbursement via the Treasurer folder in the PTO mailbox. Reimbursement for all teams is up to $150.00
