About the event
What is STEAM?
STEAM is the abbreviation for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math. It’s an integrated approach to learning that encourages students to think more broadly about real-world problems.
Day 1 - Flower Power - white carnations delivered to each class in colored water bottle students will watch as the flower changes color over the week
Day 2 - Paper Bots - students will be sent home with a paper bot to make and bring back to school
Day 3 - Mad Science delivers Wacky Science to MPS!! Students will learn about several science concepts, including super absorbents, polymers, static electricity, and Dry Ice.
Day 4 - Unique You! Discovering how our DNA makes us unique through the identification of traits like hair and eye color.
Day 5 - 5th Grade S.T.E.A.M. Fair (MPS family event)
The MPS PTO appreciates your support of all our educational activities. Any funds donated will be used to support the additional enrichment activities we have coming up as we STEAM toward summer!
